A contribution by Meena Daivadanam, Emerging Voice from India.
The symposium seems to have left many of us, me included with mixed feelings. Many of the things as Anar said, were old things packaged in new words. Some of the messages, trends and associations observed were disturbing (Eg: World Bank, Rockefeller foundation, Public health foundation of India). We have to see how this pans out, especially in the context of the future of Universal coverage and public health in general. But it was also a good opportunity to meet many of the people whose papers I have read. All in all, it was a positive experience especially when we add EVs to the mix.
